7.2 Flash operation with the synch cable
The studio flash unit can be operated with
the included synch cable. To do this, connect
the synchronous socket of the camera to the
socket
of the studio flash unit.
If the camera does not have a synch socket,
then you need a flash mount adapter from
the Metz accessories. Slide the flash mount
adapter into the flash mount of the camera
and connect it to the socket
flash unit using the supplied synchronisation
cable.
7.3 Flash operation with a radio module
The studio flash unit can be triggered using
a radio module. To do this, attach the trans-
mitter module to the camera and the receiver
module to the studio flash unit. Connect the
receiver module and the studio flash unit
with a synch cable.

8 Warning tone if studio flash
unit overheats
The studio flash unit increases the amount of
time following a flash if there is a risk of over-
heating.
If you hear a continuous tone, then you should
reduce the flash output and frequency.
If the continuous tone persists, then the
studio flash unit must be allowed to cool for
at least 30 minutes.
During this time
- you must switch off the modelling
lamp.
- you must not trigger any flashes.
