Reusable coupling for sealing damaged pipes in sizes from 35-1200 mm.

The max. permissible pressure levels are stated on the pipe coupling's label.
3.
EPDM
For water, air and solids.
4.
The specified tolerances must not be exceeded or combined. They refer to static loads and radially rigid pipes.
A safety factor has to be included for dynamic loads such as pressure surges, external forces etc.
(Contact manufacturer for further information.)
Warning: Repair couplings are not intended for connecting two pipes or for long-term use.
5.
If there is a risk of corrosion, use bolts and bars made from stainless steel (CrNi). For greater corrosion protection, use shrink
sleeves or protection tapes.
Note: When used in enamel coating areas, the couplings must not be painted or come into contact with substances which
prevent the surface from being wetted (e.g. greases containing silicone). If used in sprinkler and water-based extinguisher
systems, special flame protection is needed. In such cases, the coupling is marked as „VdS".
6.
PIPE OVALITY
≤ 2 % OD, but max. 5 mm

7.
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION (7-10) MUST BE OBSERVED!
Mark coupling width on pipe such that the damaged pipe section is in the centre.
8.
If present, remove any transport security straps. If required, clean sealing area of dirt particles.
Do not disassemble coupling or drop coupling.
9.
Open coupling and place opened coupling around the pipe. Place free end of strip insert (1) between pipe and fixed end
of strip insert. Close coupling by means of clamping tool (2), tighten bolts a few turns manually in the threaded bars, then
remove auxiliary tool. Now align coupling to marks and make sure that the seal fits properly in the housing. Tighten bolts
slightly and alternately with ratchet spanner or screwdriver. Tighten bolts alternately to a defined torque with a torque
wrench (see details on coupling label). Always provide suitable pipe retainers for this coupling type which cannot
absorb axial forces.

10.
Never tighten bolts to more than the specified torque. If leaks occur after fitting, remove coupling and rerun steps 1 to 10.
(Make sure the sealing area and the pipe surfaces are clean.)
