Note: Use AAA alkaline batteries only.
Read the following instructions for
correct operation
- Do not direct air flow directly towards peo-
ple. This could cause health problems.
- Do not remove safety grids from the out-
door unit, and do not insert hands into air
intakes.
- Disconnect this equipment in the case
of unusual situations (a smell of burning,
smoke, etc.).
- Check regularly to make sure the unit is
installed correctly.
The unit could fall and cause personal
damage.
- Do not place anything on the outdoor
unit.
- Do not spray anything like paint or pesti-
cides on the unit. This could cause a fire.
- Use adequate capacity fuses.
- Do not try to repair the unit while in opera-
tion. This is very dangerous.
- Do not place objects near air intakes, as
this would decrease cooling capacity or
even deteriorate unit operation.
- Do not pour water directly on the unit. This
could cause electric problems.
- Do not drop the remote control unit nor
use sharp objects to press buttons, as the
remote control unit could be damaged.
- Make sure there is no source of heat near
this air conditioning equipment.
This could affect cooling capacity.

1. The ON/OFF button allows turning the
air conditioning unit on or off.
2. Operating mode selector
There are five operating modes:
System operating functions can be set by

Vent. - Dry - Cool - Heat - Auto
Fan mode
In FAN mode only the fan is operative.
Low-medium-high + auto fan speeds can
be set.
In cooling or heating operation, if AUTO is
set the fan speed will change over in low-
medium-high or high-medium low sequence
automatically, depending upon the differen-
tial between the ambient temperature and
set points.
Dehumidification mode
In DRY mode, if ambient temperature is
above the set point, the unit operates in
cooling mode with fan set to AUTO. If ambi-
ent temperature is below the set point, the
on/off period of the compressor and fan will
go into a fixed repetition cycle, depending
upon the differential between the ambient
temperature and the set point.
Cool mode
In COOL mode, low-medium-high-auto fan
speeds can be selected.
Heat mode
In HEAT mode, low-medium-high-auto fan
speeds can be selected.
To avoid cool air flow from the unit in heat
cycle, when the coil temperature is too low,
the fan turns off. As the coil temperature
increases due to compressor operation,
the fan goes on again. This function is also
activated upon turning the unit on, retard-
ing fan operation until the temperature has
reached the set point.
Auto mode
In AUTO mode the system changes over
between heat and cool mode automatically
if the ambient temperature is above or below

the set point. The unit will operate in cool
mode if the ambient temperature is above
the set point, and in heat mode if this tem-
perature is below the set point. This is the
recommended operating mode.
3. Setting ambient temperature
Press the +C or -C button to change the
ambient temperature set point.
It should be set to between 6 and 30° C.
- To set fan speed and air deflector posi-
Available speeds are Low-Medium-High.
Press the FAN button to achieve the de-
sired air flow. The FAN symbol shows the
speed set.
The SWING button is used to control the
air deflectors. If pressed once, the deflector
remains stationary; if pressed a second time,
the deflector carries out a sweep action to
distribute air throughout the room.
4. Timer functions
The remote control unit is equipped with
a timer that sets on and off timings. Op-
erational settings entered in this unit are
predominant upon turning the air condition-
ing unit on.
To use the timer, proceed as follows:
Timer on/off
The timer on/off function is accessed by
pressing the T-ON and T-OFF buttons. To
start the unit at a specific time, press the
T-ON button, in half an hour intervals, until
the desires on time is reached.
The unit will start once the programmed
time is entered, and will be memorized by
the equipment.
Therefore, to turn the unit off at a specific
time, carry out the same operation, pressing
the T-OFF button as many times as neces-
sary to set the required time.
