CLOTH WHEEL (BUff)
The cloth wheel is fastened by a carrier con-
sisting of threaded stud with opening, support
flange and fixing flange. To mount the cloth
wheel screw it onto the spindle.
ELECTRONIC CONTROL
WARNING: o not operate the machine
if the electronic device is faulty, because this
means operating at increased speed (rpm).
The event of fault can be identified by the lack
of soft start or the impossibility to adjust the
speed.
The polisher features full-wave electronic con-
trol with the following functions:
Soft start and restriction of starting current
The soft start ensures the smooth start of the
machine without jerks and prevents creating
voltage fluctuations in the supply network.
Speed adjustment
The speed can be adjusted smoothly depending
on the specific operation performed. Pre-select
the speed range according to Table 1:

WARNING: Choose the speed appro-
priate for the application in advance by rotat-
ing the thumbwheel 5, according to Table 1.
Select the proper accessory suitable for the
specific operation and speed. Do not operate
at speed exceeding 1500 min
ing.
Stabilising the speed
The electronic device stabilises the pre-selected
speed (rpm) constantly in order to limit the spin-
dle speed reduction under variable load values.

Thermal protection
To protect the power tool from inadmissible ther-
mal overload (motor damage) during extended
operation at overload the machine is equipped
with thermal protection. The electronic device
switches off the machine before the tempera-
ture reaches the critical value and the machine
switches from operating to safety mode.
To resume operation first turn off and the turn on
the ON/OFF switch.
Maintenance
WARNING: Always ensure that the
tool is switched off and unplugged before
attempting to perform inspection or mainte-
nance.
BRUSH REPLACEMENT
This power tool is equipped with auto-stop
brushes. When the carbon brushes are worn
out, the machine switches itself off. In this case
both brushes must be replaced simultaneously
with genuine brushes at SPARKY service centre
for warranty and post-warranty service.
GENERAL INSPECTION
Regularly inspect all fasteners and ensure they
are properly tightened. Should any of the screws
be loose, retighten it immediately to avoid haz-
ards.
If the replacement of the supply cord is neces-
sary, this has to be done by the manufacturer or
his agent in order to avoid a safety hazard.
CLEANING
For safe operation always keep the machine
and its ventilation slots clean.
Regularly check to see if any dust or foreign mat-
ter has entered the ventilation slots and the grills
around the switches. Use a soft brush and/or air
jet to remove any accumulated dust. Wear safety
glasses to protect your eyes whilst cleaning.
Exterior plastic parts may be cleaned with a
damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary.
WARNING: Never use alcohol, petrol
or other cleaning agent. Never use caustic
agents to clean plastic parts.
