of the remaining liquid, at this point, IDLE will
blink;
9. "IDLE" After the Self-cleaning process is com-
plete, IDLE will stop blinking.
If the interval is set to a nonzero value (5s-250s), the
timer is started. When executing timing fogging, if the
interval is set to zero, will automatically be converted
to continuous fogging.
DMX Control Operation
1. Setting DMX mode and DMX address by func-
tion buttons (figure 1-E) under the LCD display,
DMX operation has not started at this time;
2. "DMX Mode: 1ch _IDLE _" Press MENU enter to
DMX mode, press Up or Down button to set the
DMX Mode, there are 3 DMX modes for choice:
1CH, 2CH, 4CH; nterchange puff volume "P.xxx"
/ Fan volume "F.xxx", every 3 seconds
3. "DMX Address: 2 _ IDLE _" Press MENU enter to
DMX address, press Up or Down button to set
the DMX address; After 3 seconds without
operation, back to interchange of puff volume
"P.xxx"/ Fan volume "F.xxx"
4. Connect the DMX 512 controller cable to the
input socket (figure 1-G or I) of the machine
unit. Make sure the signal cable polarity is cor-
rect. When DMX socket receives effective DMX
signals, the machine enter DMX control mode
automatically, other built-in functions invalid;
5. "1ch. Address 2 Vol=xxx Fan=xxx" First line
shows DMX mode is 1 channel, and DMX ad-
dress is 2, second line shows current volume
and fan power controlled by DMX console;
6. During the DMX operating (DMX signal has been
received and began to work) still can switch
DMX mode and change DMX address, please
press MENU to switch DMX mode to 2 channel
or 4 channel and press Up or Down to change
the address;
7. "2ch. Address 5 Vol=xxx Fan=xxx" Press MENU
and switch to 2CH mode, and press Up or Down

to change the DMX address to 5, and second
line shows current volume and fan power con-
trolled by DMX console;
8. "4ch. Address 12 Vxxx Fxxx Ixxx Dxxx" Press
MENU and switch to 4 CH mode, and press Up
or Down to change the DMX address to 12, and
second line shows current volume, fan pow-
er, interval, and duration controlled by DMX
console;
9. Press the MENU button continuously to
switch between the 1 DMX mode and the 2
DMX mode and the 4 DMX mode;
10. If desired, connect another faze machine:
Plug one end of another signal cable in to the
output socket (figure 1-F or H) on the back of
the first Steam F1400; plug the other end of
the signal cable to the input socket (figure 1-G
or I) on the back of the second Steam F1400.
Follow the same procedure to link more ma-
chines, if desired; whole link is daisy chain;
11. Down. Refer to DMX channel chart in Figure 2
make related settings. Now start operating
Steam F1400 with DMX console;
Please do not switch off the power immediately
when the smoke is stopped, the machine design of
machine stops working after a delay of 30 seconds,
automatically clear the tubing of the remain-
ing liquid, at this point, IDLE will blink, after the
Self-cleaning process is complete, IDLE will stop
blinking.Upon receiving DMX signal, all built-in
functions are invalid.
DMX signals dismissed, machine recovers display
control mode, and built- in functions are recovered.
