e) Never overreach! Ensure that you keep
your proper footing and balance at all

wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep
your hair, clothing and gloves away from
moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or
long hair can be caught in moving parts.

are fi tted you must ensure that they are
connected up and used correctly. Use
of a dust collection unit can reduce dust-
related hazards.
4) POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
a) Never overload the power tool. Use the
correct power tool for your application.
The correct power tool will do the job bet-
ter and safer at the rate for which it was
designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the on/off
switch fails to latch into place. Any power
tool that has a defective switch is dangerous
and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power
source and/or the battery pack from
the power tool before making any ad-
justments, changing accessories, or
storing the power tool. Preventive safety
measures such as this reduce the risk of
starting the power tool accidentally.
d) Always keep power tools that are not
being used out of children's reach. Do
not let anyone who you do not know use
the power tool or anybody who has not
read these instructions. Power tools are
dangerous in the hands of inexperienced
users.
e) Always keep the power tool in the cor-
rect working state. Check for misalign-
ment or jamming of moving parts and
to see if any parts are broken or have
suffered damaged that may affect the
power tool's operation. Damaged power
tools must be repaired before further
use. Many accidents can be traced back
to poorly maintained power tools.

cutting edges are less likely to jam and are
easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and
tool bits etc., in accordance with these
instructions and always use these spe-
cial power tools correctly as stipulated.
Using the power tool for unauthorised pur-
poses could result in a hazardous situation
arising.
5) REPAIRS
a) Have your power tool serviced by a
qualifi ed specialist who only uses origi-
nal replacement parts for the repairs.
This will ensure that the power tool will work
safely.

a)
DANGER! Keep your hands away from
cutting area and the saw blade. Always keep
your second hand on the auxiliary handle
or motor housing. Your hands cannot be cut
by the blade if you use both hands to hold the
saw.
b) Never reach in underneath the workpiece.
The guard cannot protect you from the saw-
blade underneath the workpiece.
c) Adjust the cutting depth to match the thick-
ness of the workpiece. Less than a full tooth
of the blade teeth should be visible below the
workpiece.
d) Never hold the piece that has to be cut in
your hands or across your leg. Secure the
workpiece to a stable platform. It is important
to support the workpiece properly to minimize
body-part exposure, blade jamming or loss of
control.
e) Hold the power tool by the insulated grip-
ping surfaces when using saw the cut into
a workpiece that may contain hidden wiring.
Contact with a "live" wire will make the exposed
metal parts of the power tool "live" as well and
shock the operator.
f)
Always use a parallel fence or straight edge
guide when cutting strips. This improves the
accuracy of cut and reduces the chance of the
blade jamming.
g) Always use blades with the correct size and
shape (diamond or round) arbour holes.
