Always be sure that the side handle is installed securely before operation.
CAUTION:
The angle grinder must not be used without the additional handle (7).
2. Installing the wheel guard (Fig 2 to 4)
Adjust the guard (8 or 19) to protect your hands so that the material being ground is directed away from your body.
The position of the guard (8 or 19) can be adjusted to any specific working conditions.
- Undo the clamp handle (1) and turn the guard (8 or 19) into the required position.
- Secure the clamp handle (1) again and ensure that the guard (8 or 19) is secure.
- If the protective guard can not be fixed firmly by the lock lever (1), use a hexagon wrench to tighten the hexagon
nut (9).
CAUTION:
- Take care that the wheel guard is secure before operate the machine.
- Never use the angle grinder without the guard.
3. Installing/changing the wheel/disc (Fig 5 to 11)
CAUTION:
The wheel/disc can become very hot during working process. Before replacing, allow the cup to coll down.
- Unscrew and remove the lock nut (10) from the spindle (Fig 5).
- Mount the inner flange (12) onto the spindle and fit the wheel/disc (11) on the inner flange (Fig 6).
- Screw the lock nut (10) onto the spindle (Fig 7 to 9).
For wheel/disc up to approx.4 mm thick, screw on the flange nut (10) with the flat side facing the wheel/disc (Fig 8
& 9).
- To tighten the lock nut (10), press the shaft lock (2) firmly so that the spindle cannot revolve (Fig 10), then use the
lock nut wrench (16) and securely tighten clockwise (Fig 11).
Important! Only press the spindle lock (2) when the motor and grinding spindle are at a standstill!
- To remove the wheel, follow the installation procedure in reverse.
- Before switching on the machine, check that the wheel/disc is mounted correctly and that it can turn freely.
4. Adjusting the main handle (Fig 12)
The main handle (3) can be pivoted by 90° to the right or to the left.
- Press the lock-off button (18) and at the same time pivot the main handle (3) to the desired position.
- Release the lock-off (18) to block the handle.
CAUTION:
Only press the lock-off button (18) when the motor and grinding spindle are at a standstill!
1. Switching On and Off (Fig 13)
CAUTION:
Before plugging in the tool, always check that the On/Off switch (5) actuates properly and returns to the "OFF"
position when released.
To prevent the switch trigger from being accidentally pulled, a lock-off button (4) is provided.
- To start the machine, push the lock-off button (4) forwards, then press the switch trigger (5).
- Release the switch trigger (5) to stop the machine.

2. Operating modes

Rough grinding
CAUTION: Use the safety sanding/grinding wheel guard (8, supplied).
- Hold the main handle (3) and auxiliary handle (7) firmly and switch on. Avoid blocking the ventilation slots with
your hand, as this may cause the grinder to overheat.
- Let the disc reach full speed, and then apply the grinder to the item.
Maximum effect is achieved when the grinder is held at an angle of 15-30°in relation to the item (Fig 14).
- Move the grinder back and forth over the workpiece in steady movements.
Give the grinder time to work. It is rarely necessary to press the disc hard against the surface to be worked.
