8. Each time an audio signal is detected the light diodes indicating the sound level (16) light up. The higher the baby's
sound volume the larger is the number of LEDs that light up. This function is useful when the parents prefer to
lower the volume of the loudspeaker (18) so as to have the benefit of a quiet environment while continuing to
watch over the baby's activity.
9. There are 4 icons displayed at the top of the screen:
- Signal strength icon
- Temperature icon
- Number of the camera (the number is displayed when
more than one camera is connected to the receiver)
- Icône du niveau de batterie
- Battery icon
When the appliance is inside the range of action and the
signal strength icon shows all 6 bars a coloured
homogeneous image appears on the screen (17). However, as the distance between
the receiver and the transmitter increases the signal strength icon shows fewer and
fewer bars and the image becomes less homogeneous. If the distance increases
yet more the image may become fixed up to the point in which the screen (17) displays
"No signal" or "Out of range". This text stays on the screen (17) for 10 seconds, after
which the screen (17) goes black again. At the same time the light diodes indicating
the sound level (16) start to flash and a sound alarm is activated.
As soon as the receiver comes back within the range of action the sound alarm stops and the light diodes indicating
the sound level (16) stop flashing.
The temperature icon indicates the ambient temperature in the baby's room.
The charge icon displays the state of the batteries. The segments that constitute the icon disappear one after the
other as the batteries lose their charge and the icon changes colour turning from green to flashing red, while a
sound alarm can be heard to warn the parents that it is urgent to replace the batteries or recharge them.
When on stand-by - i.e. when the baby is quiet and the screen (17) is off – the screen (17) will backlight temporarily
to display the text "Low battery" every time the sound alarm can be heard, after which the screen (17) will go black
again to reduce the batteries' consumption.
During the charging process the charge icon displays in entirety all the segments - even if the batteries are still not
totally recharged. The functioning light (19) stays red until the batteries are completely charged – it will then change
back to green.
10. This babyphone is equipped with the function VOX – which means the screen (17) automatically comes on as
soon as the baby makes a sound. When the baby stops making any noise the screen goes black again 5 seconds
later. Thanks to this parameterisation the screen (17) goes black and the loudspeaker (18) is deactivated when
the baby is quiet – which helps prolong the working life of the batteries.
