PSAX Patch Panel Piggyback Mounting Brackets Installation Instructions
6 Position the patch panel between the mounting brackets mounted on the
chassis and align the first set of patch panel screwholes with the mounting
bracket screwholes (see Figure 2).
Either the network line side or the module interface side of the patch panel
should be flush with the front panel of the chassis (see Figure 2).
7 With a Phillips screwdriver, secure the patch panel with the eight
#6-32 x 1/4 in. flathead Phillips screws (the smaller of the two types sup-
plied).

CAUTION:
Use only the supplied mounting screws when attaching the mounting brack-
ets to the chassis and PSAX Patch Panels. Longer screws will interfere with
the installation (and removal) of the common equipment, I/O, and server
modules.
8 If the PSAX 1000 chassis and PSAX Patch Panels are to be mounted on a
wall, use the PSAX 1000 Wall Mounting Plate (COMCODE 300584927).
Refer to the PSAX 1000 Wall Mounting Plate Installation Instructions or the Pack-
®
etStar PSAX Patch Panel Multiservice Media Gateway Installation Guide to install
the PSAX 1000 on a wall.
