Safety Instructions
Read the operating and safety instructions carefully and comply with all instructions prior to opera-
ting this device. Keep these operating instructions in a safe place.
For indoor use only. For use with aquariums.
Before you dip your hand into the aquarium water, disconnect all underwater electrical appliances from the mains.
When attaching the aquarium filter, care must be taken to attach it so that it cannot fall into the water.
Otherwise there is a danger of an electrical shock.
ll electrical equipment in the water must be disconnected from the mains during care and maintenance work.
The connecting line of this device can not be replaced. When the line is damaged, the device must no longer
be used. Never carry the pump by the cable; do not bend the cable.
The pump should not run dry. Temperature range from +4°C up to max. +35°C. The motor is protected from
overheating.
For your own safety we recommend that you make a drip loop with the power cord. This drip loop prevents
any water running along the cord from reaching the electrical socket.
Such items can cause electronic or mechanical interference or damage. This also applies to pace-
makers. The necessary safety distances can be found in the instruction manuals for such medical

equipment.
This equipment can be used by children above the age of 8 or by persons with reduced physical, mental or
sensory capacities or a lack of experience or knowledge, provided they are supervised or have received
instruction in the safe use of the equipment and therefore understand the risks involved. Do not allow child-
ren to play with this equipment. Do not allow children to clean or conduct user maintenance without super-
vision.

Do not clean the unit – or parts of it – in the dishwater. Not dishwater resistant.
Do not dispose of this product as normal household waste. Take it to your local refuse collection site.
The product has been approved of in accordance with the relevant nationals regulations and directives and
complies with the EU standards.
Tips and tricks
1. Never allow the tank water level to drop below the minimum water level as indicated on the filter intake tube, as the
filter will not restart in case of a power failure without proper water level.
2. Never allow filter to run without water at any time.
3. In order to maintain a continuous biological filtration DO NOT change all cartridges at the same time.
