GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
1. Before commissioning this kettle please read all the instruction manual carefully.
2. Please keep the instructions, the warranty card, the sales receipt and, if possible, the gift box
with the inner packaging.
3. Always remove the plug from the socket whenever the device is not in use and before cleaning.
Pull on the plug, not on the cable. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before
cleaning the appliance.
4. Test the electrical kettle and cable regularly for damage. If there is any damage, please do not
use it.
5. If the supply cord is damaged or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any
manner. it must be repair by the manufacturer or service agent in order to avoid a hazard.
6. Keep the electrical kettle and the cable away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture, over edge of
table or counter and such like.
7. Only use original accessories.
8. If the kettle is overfilled, when boiling up the water, it may be ejected.
9. Do not use the electrical kettle outdoors.
10. Never place the electrical kettle in water or other liquid, or come into contact with such. Do not
use the electrical kettle with wet hands.
11. Should the electrical kettle become moist or wet, remove the mains plug from the socket
immediately.
12 In order to protect children from the dangers of electrical appliances, never leave the children
unsupervised with the electrical kettle. Place your kettle in a position that children can not
reach. Take care that the cable does not hang down.
13. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in safe way and
understand the hazards involved.
14. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and
supervised.
15. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
16. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
17. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse cord, plugs, or
(state specific part or parts in question) in water or other liquid.
18. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
19. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn
any control to "off" then remove plug from wall outlet.
20. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
21. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.
