KPS-DT30 • Voltage tester
Before using the KPS-DT30 voltage tester,
please read the instructions manual and observe
the safety instructions.
1. Safety instructions.
Hold the instrument only by the insulated cable
ends (A) and (B) and do not touch the test ends
(1).
Immediately prior to use: Check the correct
working order of the voltage tester (see Section
3). The tester must not be used if any fault is de-
tected. (VDE0680, Part 5; DIN57105). The volt-
age tester must only be used within a nominal
voltage scale from 12 to 690 V.
When testing, hold the tester only by the insu-
lated handles (A) and (B).
Never connect the voltage tester to voltage for
more than thirty seconds (Maximum connection
period allowed = 30 seconds).
The voltage tester will only work correctly within
the temperature range of -10º C to +50º C. Do
not dismantle the voltage tester. It is important
to keep the surface of the voltage tester clean.
Attention:
After the maximum charge (i.e., after a 30 sec-
onds measurement at 690 V DC), do not use the
instrument for 5 minutes.
2. Operating instructions.
The KPS-DT30 is a double pole voltage tester
according to the VDE 0680 mark, Part five, with
a visual display screen. The instrument is de-
signed to test AC and DC voltage within a scale
from 12 to 690 V. It can also be used for polarity
