Safety precautions
DANGEr!
According to IEC 60601-1 / UL 60601-1, micromotors are
not suitable for use in environments at risk of explosion
or in environments liable to contain explosive anaesthetic
mixes containing oxygen or nitrous oxide.
CAUTION!
Use of micromotors with LED illumination is only permitted
in conjunction with power supplies conforming to IEC
60601 1 (EN 60601-1) and IEC 60601-1-2 (EN 60601-1-
2) provided the following conditions are satisfied and
guaranteed by the system installer:
- Double insulation must be provided between the primary
and secondary electrical circuits, rated for the maximum
foreseen supply voltage.
- Double insulation must be provided between the
secondary circuit and earth (PE), rated for the maximum
foreseen secondary voltage.
- Secondary voltage must be limited to a maximum of
3.8 vdc.
- Applied apparatus must satisfy maximum leakage current
specifications.
- The secondary electrical circuit must be protected
against short circuit and overload.
CAUTION!
After treatment, remove the bur or stone before placing
the handpiece back in its support. Take care not to drop!
WArNING!
Stop using the handpiece immediately if you notice
