4. Setup and operation
Make sure to place the instrument on a level table. Allow for sufficient free space
around the instrument to prevent anything from being knocked during the shaking
operation.
Please observe the ambient conditions indicated in the technical data especially the
voltage and observe the safety instructions.
Caution:
Make sure that there are no spills during shaking operation. Use test tubes
which are high enough or reduce the fluid level or use a cover for the test
tubes. For your own security wear protective clothing and glasses.
Switch on the instrument via the "ON/OFF" switch and choose the shaking function
desired with the corresponding switch position:
● Switch position I: for continuous operation
● Switch position II: pressing down the test tube in the cup head will start the
shaking. Put the test tube vertically with slight pressure on the cup had. Only
slight pressure is necessary to start the shaking motion. If the pressure is too high,
the motor will be pushed against a safety stop to reduce the shaking frequency.
The required speed (continuously adjustable shaking frequency) can be set by means
of the control button. Make sure that the shaking frequency is not set too high when
starting to work. Otherwise there's a risk of collision with other objects or instruments
placed next to the mixer. Always start with the lowest shaking frequency (5 rpm).
5. Cleaning and maintenance
The instrument can be cleaned using dish washing liquid and warm water. The
eccentric disc of the motor is supported by ball bearing and does not need
maintenance. The drive motor is a brushless AC motor.
6. Dismantling and disposal
1. Switch off the instrument by means of the rocker switch.
2. Disconnect the instrument from the mains.
3. Now you can remove the instrument from the working area.
Damaged and/or disposed electric or electronic equipment has to be disposed
of at the designated recycling depot.
Also the packing material should be disposed of environment-friendly (material
separation).
