–
if the road is bumpy or uneven;
–
if the sensor is covered;
–
if the vehicle is tilting due to unequal load distribution;
–
in heavy rain or if water splashes onto the sensor (car wash,...);
–
if you get too close to an obstacle;
–
if the sensor is frozen.
CAUTION
The parking aid sensors might give what appear to be random beeps even though no
targets are visible. Some imperfections in the terrain or random noises from foreign
ultrasound sources (like street cleaners) might cause the system to react temporarily.
3. Reduced sensing range
The sensing range may decrease in the following situations:
–
if the vehicle is parked for a long time in hot sun or in cold weather;
–
in case of very low, thin or pointed objects (wires, ropes, wire fences, etc.);
–
in case of objects with high absorption properties (snow, cotton, wool, etc.);
–
in case of sharp angled objects;
–
if the detection sensor is clogged with mud, snow or ice.
4. No detection
Owing to their low reflective properties, the sensors may not be able to detect the following
objects:
–
very low, thin or pointed objects (wires, ropes, wire fences, etc.);
–
objects with high absorption properties (snow, cotton, wool, etc.);
–
sharp angled objects.
The system may not be able to detect the lower part of certain designs of bumper.
NOTICE
In case of anomalous behaviour or failure indication, follow the instructions in the
troubleshooting section.
C. Operation procedure
1. Start the engine.
CAUTION
Make sure the engine is running in order to prevent
the battery from discharging.
