BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE THE FIRST TIME

Remove all packaging materials
and any transport safeguards.

Check whether all listed accessory
parts are present.
3.
Clean the toaster with a damp
cloth as described in the chapter
„Cleaning and care".
4.
Check whether all parts are
properly
assembled

Make sure that there is sufficient
clearance to walls and other
appliances, because the toaster
becomes hot during operation.
OPERATION - TOASTING
1.
Prepare the toaster as described
in the section "Before using the
appliance the first time".

Put a slice of bread into the slot
of the toasting chamber.
3.
Set the toaster heat setting to the
desired browning level. You can
choose between 6 settings; Level
1 provides very light toasting and
Level 6 toasts the bread very dark.
For golden brown toast, position
the regulator in the middle.

Press the toast lever down until it
locks in place.
CLEANING
Before cleaning, always turn
off the appliance and unplug it
from the electrical outlet.
Allow the appliance to cool
before cleaning it.

Connect the appliance to the

Before toasting for the first time,
one toasting cycle must be execu-
ted without bread. To do this, turn
the browning control from "0" to
level 3. Then press the toast lever
down until it locks in place.
When
the
toasting
is
complete
the
automatically pops up. Now you
can begin toasting bread.
You can interrupt the toasting
process at any time by turning the
browning control to "0".
Once your desired degree of brow-
ning is reached, the bread is auto-
matically ejected. The appliance
switches off.
When you are finished making
toast, turn the browning control to
the "0" position. The appliance is
not switched off until this step is
executed.
CAUTION:
The appliance becomes very
hot during operation!
Do not immerse the appliance
and power cord in water or other
liquids or wash them in the
dishwasher.
