– Example 1: Connecting cable to original cable.
Strip 10 mm of insulation off original cable (see F 1).
Strip 15 mm of insulation off cable to be connected (see F 2).
Wind cable to be connected round original cable and solder (see F 3).
Insulate cable with insulating tape (see F 4).
– Example 2: 2 Connecting 2 cables together.
Strip insulation off both cables (see G 1).
Pull approx. 20 mm of heat shrinkable tube over one cable (see G 2).
Wind both cables together and solder (see G 3).
Pull heat shrinkable tube over solder connection and warm gently (see G 4).
– Example 3: Connecting cable to earth
Strip 5 mm of insulation off cable (see H 1).
Use Ø 6 mm claw cable lug with crimp connection (see H 2).
Crimp cable lug onto cable end using crimping pliers (see H 3).
Bolt cable lug onto an original earthing point (see H 4).
– Example 4: Fitting cable with flat plug
Strip 5 mm of insulation off cable (see I 1).
Use suitable plug with crimp connection (e.g. flat plug) (see I 2).
Crimp cable lug onto cable end using crimping pliers (see I 3).
If necessary, use plug connection with insulator (see I 4).
Caution! Before working on the vehicle electrics, always disconnect the
negative terminal to avoid the risk of short circuits.
On vehicles with a supplementary battery, also disconnect the negative terminal
of that battery, too.
Connect the receiver according to the following connection diagram (see J 1),
connector assignment diagram (see J 2) and the circuit diagram (see J 3).
By connecting to the direction indicators (blinkers), these flash once or twice.
