2. General information

The instrument is designed in accordance with safety class I. It is built and tested in accordance
with DIN EN 61010. It left our warehouse working perfectly well and safely. To maintain the proper
safety and operational function of the instrument, the user must respect the instructions and
safety guidelines of this manual.
The instrument comes with a SCHUKO plug (DIN 49441, 16 A, 250 V). When operating the
instrument in countries with different AC plug systems, use an approved adapter or have a
qualified electrician replace the AC plug with an approved model suitable for the country of
operation.

2.1 Unpacking the instrument

Unpack the instrument carefully and check to see that it is not damaged. It is important that any
damage incurred during transport, such as indented sides of the carton, chemical impairment
of the carton, water stains or other physical impacts which might have damaged the content,
be recognized at the time of unpacking. Notify your carrier or forwarding agent immediately in
case of such damage. You may unpack the carton carefully if there is no visible damage of the
packing material.

2.2 Safety instructions

Note:
If the instrument is not damaged and all parts are complete, you may start to
operate the device after reading the instruction manual.
