Caution:
The On/Off switch does not disconnect the instrument from the power source.
Remove the plug from the AC power outlet to disconnect the instrument from the
mains supply entirely.
Attention:
Do not open the instrument! Repairs are only to be carried out by trained service
technicians. Any work on the electronics of the unit should only be done by
knowledgeable and trained personnel.
In the case of unauthorized operation as well as negligent or wilful damage, the
warranty expires.
3. Intended use
The shaker is a multi-purpose shaker which can be used with several attachments for various
kinds of shaking in chemical and pharmaceutical laboratories as well as in schools and
universities.
To ensure maximum service life, observe the specified ambient conditions (temperature and
humidity) and make sure that the instrument is not exposed to a corrosive atmosphere.

4. Setup and operation

Make sure to place the instrument on a level table. Allow for sufficient free space around the
instrument to prevent anything from being knocked during the shaking operation.
Please observe the ambient conditions indicated in the technical data especially the voltage
and observe the safety instructions.
Caution:
Make sure that there are no spills during shaking operation. Use test tubes which
are high enough or reduce the fluid level or use a cover for the test tubes. For your
own security wear protective clothing and glasses.
Place the attachment on top of the shaking unit and fasten the attachment by means of the
three screws, one center screw on the front and two screws on the reverse side. All attachments
are interchangeable and equipped with the same mounting system.
