Dear patient,
thank you for choosing a product from Bauerfeind. DorsoTrain is high-quality medical
product.
Please read through these instructions for use carefully. If you have any question
contact our Technical Service department.
DorsoTrain is a body with stabilizing functional elements, is designed to straighten
and support the spine. Shoulder straps and a pelvic belt have the additional task of
postural control.
DorsoTrain must be individually adapted to the patient by a trained othopaedic
technician in order to gain the maximum effect and optimal wear comfort from
this orthosis. If the product is not used properly and claim for warranty will
expire.
Indications
• Degeneration/muscular insu ciency of the spine
• Osteoporosis
Side effects
Side effects involving the body as a whole have not been reported to date. Correct
tting is assumed. Any supports and orthoses
tightened excessively, lead to local pressure signs or, rarely, constrict the underlying
blood vessels or nerves.
Contraindications
Hypersensitive reactions harmful to health have not been reported to date. In the
following conditions such aids should only be tted and applied after consultation
with your medical advisor:
1. Skin disorders/injuries in the relevant part of the body, particularly if in ammation
is present. Likewise, any raised scars with swelling, redness and excessive heat
build-up.
2. Impaired sensation.
3. Severe restriction of the performance of heart and lungs (risk of a rise in blood
pressure if the aid is worn during severe physical exertion).
Fitting and removal of DorsoTrain
Fitting:
1. Insert the shaped reclinator into the specially provided pocket of the back
section. (Fig. 1)
2. Pull the active support with integrated reclinator over the shoulders and wear
like a waistcoat. (Fig. 2)
3. Fasten the zip at the bottom and zip up the support. (Fig. 3)
4. Fasten the gusset snap fasteners in the lower abdominal area (Fig. 4)
5. Take hold of the two tension straps in both hands and pull evenly forwards until
the desired level of force is reached. Secure the ends of the straps to the Velcro®
fastenings on the velour strips on the left and right in the abdominal area.

During the initial tting, the optimal and individual t of the active support
must be checked, and corrected if necessary, by a trained specialist. Correct
tting of the support should be practiced with the patient.

Removal:
1. Unfasten the strap ends and then refasten onto the velour strips without any
tension.
2. Undo the gusset snap fasteners
3. Completely undo the zip fastener.
Important information
• DorsoTrain is a prescribed product that should be applied under a physician's
guidance. DorsoTrain should only be applied in accordance with the instructions
contained in these usage directions and for the listed areas of application.
• DorsoTrain is intended for single use by the patient.
• The product can be applied directly against the skin or on top of underwear.
• Incorrect use of the support will cancel any product liability.
• No improper modi cations may be made to the product. Failure to comply with
this requirement may adversely affect product performance, thereby cancelling
any product liability.
• Should you notice any unusual changes (e.g. increased symptoms), please contact
your medical advisor without delay.
• Please consult your medical advisor before using DorsoTrain in combination with
other products.
• Avoid the use of ointments, lotions or any substances including grease or acids.
• Guarantee subject to statutory regulations.
• DorsoTrain can readily be disposed of with the domestic refuse.

All Train products can be machine washed separately at 30 °C with liquid detergent.

Please note the following when washing your Train products:
1. Before washing DorsoTrain, fasten the straps securely at the place provided for
this purpose.
2. Remove the berglass frame before washing.
We recommend using a mesh bag (spin cycle: maximum of 500 revolutions per minute).
Air dry your DorsoTrain. Do not dry it in a dryer because this can compromise the knitted
fabric.
Please wash your DorsoTrain regularly.
This product has been examined by our own quality control system. However, should
you have any complaint, please contact your retailer or our customer service
department.
2 Standardized washing tests show that after 50 washing machine cycles full functionality of the Train active
support is retained. (Liquid detergent was used.)
