a) Using the cable
1. Set the cable mode button to
lustration K)
2. Lift up from the base station and iron with the cord
attached
3. As soon as you have finished ironing, unplug from the
power supply, let the iron cool down fully and then
store it in a dry place
b) Cordless
1. Set the cable function button to
– illustration M) and the iron will separate from the
corded unit.
2. Lift up the iron from the base station and iron without
the cable unit attached.
3. After approx. 10 seconds replace the iron onto the
charging station so that it does not cool down below
the temperature setting. The high-performance heat
and steam reservoir of the Livington iRon recharges
within 5 seconds. Typically when you use an iron,
you iron approximately every 10 seconds. It takes 5
seconds to move the garment. This is exactly the time
the Livington iRon needs to recharge and reach tempe-
rature. You should therefore always replace the iron in
the station while you move a garment.
IMPORTANT: Should you stop ironing for a while, always
put the iron back on the base station to allow it to heat
back up again.
The less often you use the shot of steam function, the
longer you will be able to iron in cordless mode, without
needing to heat the iron back up again. We therefore
recommend corded ironing if you need to use the shot of
steam function very regularly.
4. As soon as you have finished ironing, unplug the cable
from the mains and allow it to cool down completely
and store it afterwards in a dry place.

The scratch-resistant Nano-ceramic easy glide sole plate
provides the best possible care for your textiles. Heat is
stored for longer, enabling you to effortlessly smooth out
creases on different items of clothing.
Steam and spray functions:
Shot of steam (illustration E)
By pressing the shot of steam button, steam is imme-
diately released to help remove tough creases. Please
check that there is a sufficient amount of water in the
water tank.
By using the steam controller (illustration G), you can set
the desired amount of steam required. When set to "off",
you can iron without steam.
The shot of steam function can also be used when
holding the iron in a vertical position. Take care never to
direct steam at people or animals.
The shot of steam function can only be activated at
temperatures between •• and MAX.
This iron is equipped with an anti-drip function: at very
low temperatures, steam production is automatically in-
terrupted so that no water can drip out of the sole plate.
Spray button (illustration F)
On pressing the spray button, a fine cloud of spray is
produced to dampen difficult to iron textiles. If required,
press the spray button several times to ensure that the
item of clothing is damp enough. Check that there is a
sufficient amount of water in the water tank.
Textile brush
1. Place the textile brush attachment onto the ironing
board and push the iron onto the textile brush attach-
ment. (illustration Q). Warning: there is the risk of
burns, as the sole plate of the iron gets very hot.
2. To remove the textile brush attachment, use the hook
at the tip of the textile brush. Clamp the hook at the
tip of the textile brush attachment and carefully pull
textile brush attachment from the iron's sole plate.
(Illustration R)
WARNING: there is the risk of burns as the soleplate of
the iron and the textile brush attachment can get hot.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

After ironing
1. Unplug the appliance and let the iron cool down fully
2. Empty the water tank. Clean the sole plate using a
damp towel and a non-foaming (fluid) cleaning agent
to remove calk and other impurities.
3. Clean the casing with a damp towel.
4. Keep the empty iron upright on a secure surface.
You may wish to protect the iron plate with a piece of
material.

Self-cleaning function

1. Fill the water tank with water, set it to the highest tem-
perature and plug it into an electrical socket. Check
that the steam controller is set to "off".
2. The temperature control button lights up. As soon as it
has gone out, hold the iron over the sink and turn the
steam control backwards using a little pressure. Steam
and boiling water will flow out of the sole. Impurities
and calk droplets are rinsed away.
