follow these loading guidelines. Features and appearance of racks and silverware
Theupperrack isprimarilyfor glasses, c ups,and
saucers. H owever, o ther itemssuch aspots,pans,
and platesmay be placedin the upper rack.Thisis
alsoa secureplacefor dishwasher-safe p lasticitems.
Theupperrack canbe usedfor odd sizedutensils.
Saucepans,mixingbowls,and othersimilarlyshaped
itemsshouldbe placedface down for bestwash
performance. E nsuresmallplasticitemsare secure
so that they cannot fall intothe heaterat the bottom
of the dishwasher, potentiallydamagingthe item.
On somemodels,the upperrack may be adjusted
to accommodatelargeritems.Toadjustthe upper
rack,fullyextendthe upper rackand removethe two
plasticend capson the front of the rails.Remove the
upperrack.Selectthe setof rollerson the sideof the
rackthat provides the desiredheight,and reinstall
the upperrackby guidingthe rackrailsbetweenthe
appropriateset of rollers. W ith the rack reinstalled,
replacethe two plasticend caps,ensuringthe snap
isproperlyengaged.Failure to properlyengage
the end caps may resultin the rackfallingfrom the
dishwasher.
Toadd flexibilityin loading,the utility
shelf(onsomemodels) may be
placedin the up or down
position.Theshelfmay
alsobe usedto secure
stemware such as wine glasses. Because these
stemware items come in various sizes, s lowly push
the rackin to ensurethe itemsdo not bump into the
edgesof the dishwasher, w hich may causedamage
to the items, m

utility shelf clips over
the vertical rack wires
and push down to
attach utility shelf onto
second wire of rack
It isimportantto ensurethat itemsdo not protrude
throughthe bottomof the rack or silverwarebasket
(onsome models) w herethey willblockthe rotation
of the middlesprayarm.Thiscouldresultin noise
during operationand/or poor washperformance.
Check to make sure that no
items will block rotation of
the wash arms.
