5. Pull the straps until evenly tightened;
first the neck straps (1), then the temple
straps (2), finally the front strap (3).
6. Don the helmet and make sure that it
fits correctly.
7. Press the button and insert the lung demand valve into the
equipment connector.
8. Release the button and check whether the lung demand valve is
properly engaged.
9. Close the plug nipple with your thumb and inhale until negative
pressure is created. Hold your breath for a moment.
The negative pressure should be maintained. If not, retighten the
straps. No air from the outside must enter the facepiece.
10. Repeat leak test twice.
11. Checking the exhalation valve: Seal the plug nipple and exhale
forcefully.
The exhaled air must be able to escape without obstruction. If not,
replace the exhalation valve.
12. Connect either positive pressure compressed air breathing
apparatus or positive pressure airline equipment.
13. Check whether the lung demand valve is securely fitted by turning
it and pulling on it forcefully.
Have the tightness and correct connection checked by a second
person.
WARNING
!
Never use a facepiece that leaks!
If the facepiece leaks, there is a risk of toxication!

Use "klar-pilot" anti-fog agent to prevent fogging of the visor.
High temperatures/Thermal cycling

Leave the danger zone immediately if there are any signs of damage,
e.g., bubbles in the visor.
The coating may dissolve in some places on visors marked with PC/
CC. The facepiece is fully serviceable until the end of the operation.
Replace visor after use.
Chemicals
Some substances may be absorbed by the material of the facepiece
body or may possibly diffuse into it. Further information can be
obtained from Dräger.

Do not doff the facepiece unless you are decontaminated and
in a safe environment.
Press button and simultaneously remove the lung demand valve
from the equipment connector.
Insert index finger behind the tabs on the neck straps and press
the adjusting clamps forwards with your thumbs while
simultaneously pulling the facepiece forward off your face over
your head.
