INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the iDEC. The iDEC is a complete media center for iPod*, designed to meet the needs of
musicians, DJs, or installation professionals servicing bars, restaurants or large stadiums. The solid steel
industrial construction and 2U rack-mountable design ensure perfect integration with any media rack or
installation.
The iDEC features direct iPod audio/video playback through the integrated Universal dock for iPod. By
connecting the iDEC to your computer via USB, you can also effortlessly sync your iPod to your iTunes*
music library. In addition, the iDEC functions as a convenient recorder, allowing you to record audio from
external line-level devices directly to your iPod.

QUICK SETUP

1. Study the setup diagram below.
2. Place the unit in an appropriate position for operation. See "Mounting Instructions" section for
instructions on mounting the iDEC in a 19" rack.
3. Make sure all devices are turned off and all faders are at zero.
4. Connect the audio outputs to the power amplifier or speaker systems.
5. Connect the video outputs to TV or projection systems.
6. Plug the unit and other devices into AC power.
7. Switch everything on in the following order:
iPod
iDEC
Last, any amplifiers, televisions, monitors, projectors, etc.
8. When turning off, always reverse this operation by powering down in the following order:
