Battery Maintenance

4.1

Recharging the Batteries

Load the batteries into the hand-held unit and plug the power supply unit into
the bottom side of the ORDERMAN

pending on the setting of the automatic shutoff and the backlighting – see page
22).
The number of recharging cycles for the ORDERMAN
1000 recharging cycles. The batteries then undergo a natural deterioration in
which the operating time becomes shorter.
With a short press on the DON touch-field (see page 17), the charg-
ing status of the batteries is indicated.

Setup

Before the initial setup, it is recommended that the batteries be fully charged
(see Battery Maintenance) as well as that a touch-calibration be performed (for
this, see page 21 – Setting the Touch Calibration).
To start the unit, load the charged battery pack and activate the On button.
After the hand-held unit has established radio contact with the POS Center, it
can be put immediately into service.
