– Only for the Spider 2S/3S: Remount the
additional PCB and check that the plug fits
properly in the socket of the interface.
– Secure all the PCBs with the existing screws
and those supplied.
– Remove the cover over the hole in the rear
panel of the terminal.
– Push the circular connector of the interface
through the hole in the rear panel of the
terminal, mount the fastening ring from the
outside and tighten it securely with the
special wrench supplied.
Adjustments
Interface RS232C
No adjustment at all is necessary for the
Spider 1S terminal.
With the terminals Spider 2S and 3S, the
jumper setting on the additional PCB must be
changed to position "2" (note the marking "2"
on the PCB), so that the additional interface is
recognized.
Interface RS422/485
With the terminals Spider 2S and 3S, the
jumper setting on the additional PCB must
be changed to position "2" (note the marking
"2" on the PCB), so that the additional interface
is recognized. The Spider 1S terminal has no
jumper.
The interface board DIP switches must be set
on all the terminals:
Switch 1:
ON: RS485 (2-wire connection, half du-
plex operation)
OFF: RS422* (4-wire connection, full du-
plex operation) factory setting
Switch 2:
ON: terminating resistance 150Ω between
TXD A and TXD B (pins 1 and 2)
OFF: no terminating resistance, factory
setting
Switch 3: not occupied
Switch 4:
ON: terminating resistance 150Ω between
RXD A and RXD B (pins 3 and 4)
OFF: no terminating resistance, factory
setting
Information about the software configuration
of interface parameters can be found in the
interface description supplied with the Spider/
Spider S scales.
– Nur Spider 2S/3S: Setzen Sie die Zusatz-
platine wieder ein und achten Sie darauf,
dass die Buchse sauber in den Stecker der
Schnittstellenkarte einrastet.
– Befestigen Sie alle Platinen mit den vorhan-
denen und den mitgelieferten Schrauben.
– Entfernen Sie die Verschlusskappe der Boh-
rung an der Terminalrückwand.
– Schieben Sie den Rundstecker der Schnitt-
stelle durch die Bohrung in der Terminal-
rückwand, setzen Sie von aussen den Befe-
stigungsring auf und ziehen Sie diesen mit
dem mitgelieferten Spezialschlüssel fest.
Einstellarbeiten
Schnittstelle RS232C
Beim Spider 1S-Terminal sind keinerlei Ein-
stellarbeiten erforderlich.
Bei den Terminals Spider 2S und 3S muss der
Jumper auf der Zusatzplatine auf Position "2"
umgesteckt werden (Markierung "2" auf Plati-
ne beachten), damit die zusätzliche Schnitt-
stelle erkannt wird.
Schnittstelle RS422/485
Bei den Terminals Spider 2S und 3S muss die
Steckbrücke auf der Zusatzplatine auf Position
"2" umgesteckt werden (Markierung "2" auf
Platine beachten), damit die zusätzliche Schnitt-
stelle erkannt wird. Das Spider 1S-Terminal ver-
fügt über keinen Jumper.
Bei allen Terminals muss der DIP-Schalter
auf der Schnittstellenkarte eingestellt werden:
Schalter 1:
ON: RS485 (2-Draht-Leitung,Halbduplex-
Betrieb)
OFF: RS422* (4-Draht-Leitung,Vollduplex-
Betrieb), Werkseinstellung
Schalter 2:
ON: Abschlusswiderstand 150 Ω zwi-
schen TXD A und TXD B (Pins 1 und
2)
OFF: Kein Abschlusswiderstand, Werksein-
stellung
Schalter 3: nicht belegt
Schalter 4:
ON: Abschlusswiderstand 150 Ω zwi-
schen RXD A und RXD B (Pins 3 und
4)
OFF: Kein Abschlusswiderstand, Werksein-
stellung
