Start
Start the band saw by turning the switch to position
"1" (lowest speed). To go from low to high speed set the
switch to "0" first and then to position "2". ( Two speed
machine only)

CONTROL DEVICES

The machine is equipped with the following control
devices:
1. Main switch
2. The function of this switch is to power the machine. When it
is on, a pilot light indicates that the machine is energized.
3. Speed selector (400V,3~ Motor only)
The speed selector is used to select the saw blade rotation
speed.
"0" position: the saw blade does not rotate. ( even if button 2
on the handgrip control is pressed)
POSITION "1": This is the position of the lowest speed (35
m/min).This speed is suitable for cutting hard material and full
section bars.
POSITION "2": This is the position of the fastest speed (70
m/min). This speed is suitable for cutting profiles and thin
tubes.
WARNING!
The main switch can be padlocked. Padlock it before
carrying out any maintenance or repair operations.
4. Handgrip with control push button
The handgrip control (the operator must be present) is used
to lift or lower the bow, in order to carry out the cutting
operation. This handgrip consists of a tube, secured to the
machine head: the handgrip control with its push button is
fitted to the end of the tube.
Press the button to start rotating the saw blade;
release the button to stop it.
Furthermore, the handgrip is equipped with a safety device to
guard against accidental start up.
Emergency stop
The machine is equipped with an emergency push button
used to stop the machine in an emergency. The stop push
button must be released before the machine is restarted after
an emergency stop.
NORMAL CUTTING
After carrying out the operations required for machine start-up,
follow the instructions below:
Place the material to be cut in the vice and clamp it firmly.
Press the main switch in order to energize the
machine.
Select the required cutting speed on the speed
selector
The band saw is now ready to cut. Grasp the handgrip
control and press the push button
in order to start the blade rotation.
Rest the blade lightly on the piece to be cut, in order to avoid
breaking the teeth, and execute the cut.
Ensure that the coolant comes out in a sufficient quantity
during the cutting operations. The blade must be well
lubricated.
WARNING!
The machine is equipped with a low voltage electrical
system (24V) with a minimum voltage and thermal
protection device. With this device, if voltage is
disconnected, the machine stops and does not restart
work, the start push button must be activated.
In this way, risks from accidental restarting of the
machine are avoided.
CAUTION!
During normal operation if the band saw stops and the
main switch has not been turned to "0", determine the
cause for the stop, but take care as this is a hazardous
situation.
DANGER!
ALL THE PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS FOR THE CUT
MUST BE CARRIED OUT WHEN THE MACHINE BOW IS
IN STANDBY POSITION AND THE SAW BLADE IS NOT
RATATING.
