7.3 Art-Net™
Art-Net™ is a protocol for sending video and DMX signals over the Internet.
Art-Net™ configuration requires setting the Art-Net™ network addresses, as well as the DMX personality
and address. The network address information is determined by the design of the control system network.
1. Set the operating protocol:
a. Press MENU to enter the menu.
b. Press UP or DOWN to select <Protocol setup>. Confirm with ENTER.
c. Press UP or DOWN to select <Only ArtNet>. Confirm with ENTER.
2. Set the IP mode:
a. Press MENU to enter the menu.
b.
Press UP or DOWN to select <ArtNet setup>. Confirm with ENTER.
c.
Press UP or DOWN to select <IP mode>. Confirm with ENTER.
d.
Press UP or DOWN to select your IP mode. Confirm with ENTER.
3. Set the network address:
a. Press MENU to enter the menu.
b. Press UP or DOWN to select <ArtNet setup>. Confirm with ENTER.
c. Press UP or DOWN to select <Net>. Confirm with ENTER.
d. Press UP or DOWN to set your network address. Confirm with ENTER.
4. Set the subnet address:
a. Press MENU to enter the menu.
b.
Press UP or DOWN to select <ArtNet setup>. Confirm with ENTER.
c. Press UP or DOWN to select <Subnet>. Confirm with ENTER.
d.
Press UP or DOWN to set your subnet address. Confirm with ENTER.
5. Set the universe address:
a. Press MENU to enter the menu.
b. Press UP or DOWN to select <ArtNet setup>. Confirm with ENTER.
c. Press UP or DOWN to select <Universe>. Confirm with ENTER.
d. Press UP or DOWN to set your universe address. Confirm with ENTER.
6. Set the start channel:
a. Press MENU to enter the menu.
b. Press UP or DOWN to select <ArtNet setup>. Confirm with ENTER.
c. Press UP or DOWN to select <Start channel>. Confirm with ENTER.
d.
Press UP or DOWN to set your start channel. Confirm with ENTER.
Make sure the lighting controller sends DMX signals down the movement channels without
sending them down the pixel-mapping channels.
