Special safety instructions
It is essential to read and understand the general safety instructions in the Safety
appendix (Page 72 and following)!
Our equipment must be installed by approved specialists in the sanitary and heating trade.
Check for possible transport damage prior to installation.
Let overcool equipment acclimatise off the mains voltage.
Protect equipment against frost and do not set it up close to a heater with high radiating
temperature. The product is approved for a water temperature of 30 ºC max. / ambient
temperature 40 ºC max.
You absolutely must follow the flow direction marked by arrows on the appliance.
Installation must comply with the regulations of the German Association for Gas and Water
Engineering (DVGW, DIN 1988), SVGW in Switzerland, ÖVGW in Austria and local provisions.
If dosage and water softening devices are installed, dirt particles must first be filtered out
through a micro-filter (DIN 1988, DIN 50930).
For softening equipment, hard water may not contain iron nor manganese.
For 'topped' hot water appliances (geyser, flow heater, etc.) there must be a return safety
device. The dilution control of a softener with DVGW test number, as well as the water meter
of dosage devices have an integrated reflux/return valve and may therefore not be fitted
between the hot water appliance and its pressure control valve.
Installation must be in accordance with the respective drawing.
The electric supply must have continuous voltage (230 V, 50 Hz) and be separate from the light
switch. The main voltage is reduced to 24 V protective low voltage in the transformer with
approx. 1,5 m cable. The compressor is created for short time operation and fills the
compressed air tank for max. 15 min, if the pressure falls down under 6 bar.
If the water pipe system is used for earthing, the appliances must be electrically bypassed (VDE
190 sect. 3 H, SEV in Switzerland and ÖVE in Austria).
After complete assembly and maintenance, which may have been required, check for leaks.
Attention: In case of power cuts or defect of the transformer fuse, the water will run into the
sewage system during regeneration. IN this case immediately close water supply to softener
and contact customer service!
