• If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended
period, remove the battery.
• In the event of the batteries leaking acids, fi rst put on
a pair of protective gloves. Then clean the battery
compartment and the battery contacts with a dry cloth.
• Keep batteries well away from children. Children
might put batteries into their mouths and swallow
them. If a battery is swallowed, medical assistance
must be sought immediately.
Tips on usage
• From about the age of 6 years children can use this battery powered
toothbrush by themselves. It is however necessary that you explain to
the child how to use both the toothbrush and the sandglass.
• Explain to the child that the best cleaning eff ect is obtained by moving
the brush from tooth to tooth gently and without heavy pressure.
First use
Before taking the appliance into use check to ensure that it is in a fault-free
condition. If it is not, it may not be used.
• Open the battery compartment in that you slide the battery compartment
lid 5 downwards.
• Insert the batteries in the battery compartment as per the polarity diagram
(see chapter entitled "Changing the batteries").
• Replace the battery compartment lid 5 back onto the hand element 2.
Ensure that it is fi rmly secured.
• Before the fi rst use, clean the new brush heads 1 with clear water.
