Assemble half mask (G)
Press the exhalation valve disc onto the peg. The disc should have an even
and tight fit on the valve seat.
Push the mask body into the adaptor.
Install the sealing profile (G1) of the inhalation valve.
Make sure that the sealing ring (G2) is not damaged and sits completely
in the groove.
The sealing profile and the sealing ring must sit properly in the adaptor,
otherwise the half mask is not leak-tight and there is a danger of
intoxication!
Press the fastening neps (G3) from within through the holes of the
adaptor and fasten them.
Install the inhalation valve disc on the peg. The disc should have an even
contact.
Arrange the harness.
Screw in/insert new respiratory filter.
Test the leak-tightness with a test unit
You always have to test the leak-tightness after each cleaning or
replacement of individual parts, for example, by using the Prestor mask
testing unit from Dräger. For this purpose:
Moisten the exhalation valve disc and the valve seat with water.
Use the testing unit to generate a negative pressure of 7 mbar. The valve
is leak-tight if the pressure change within 1 minute does not exceed
1 mbar.
If the leak-tightness is not sufficient, the exhalation valve disc or the sealing
ring has to be replaced.
Storage
Store mask without deformations in a dry, cool, dust-free space without
contaminants.

Keep out of direct sunlight and heat.
Strictly follow ISO 2230 and national regulations for storage, maintenance
and cleaning of rubber products.

1) For hermetically sealed half masks, otherwise every 6 months.
2) For hermetically sealed half masks every 2 years
The year of manufacture of the exhalation valve disc is calculated by the
year specified and the number of dots.
Disposal
Dispose of respiratory filter and half mask in accordance with the
applicable local waste disposal regulations. Further information can be
obtained from the local environmental and municipal authorities.
