European Directive 2002/96/CE
By means of present document, we inform you on the Waste Electrical & Electronic
Equipment (WEEE). This directive concerns the electrical and electronic equipment
residues and arises from some European Union measures to protect the environment. It
contemplates the introduction of an obligatory system for the collection and recycling of all
electrical and electronic equipments. At the end of its useful life, the user is responsible to
provide the transport of the equipment to a recycling center. The recycling centers remove
the harming materials from the equipment and process them according to the established
directives. Such procedure has the objective to increment the quantity of the reusable
materials. If the equipment and/or instruction manual contain the symbol shown on the right
side above, proceed as follows: once the equipment has achieved the end of its useful life,
process it in a responsible way, thus allowing that same or some of its parts might be reused,
if possible. Do not throw the equipment away together with non-classified domestic
residues; return it to the same distributor when purchasing another similar equipment, or
deliver it to an authorized recycling place. Contact the municipal authorities and request
information on the closest places where the authorized selective collection is made. In case
you wish to discard the equipment, when it is still in good conditions, or when it might be
easily repaired, please make sure that it might be reutilized.
