General Operating Instructions for
Manually Operated Materials Handling Trucks

General:

Before starting to use the materials handling truck, all operators must have
read these instructions or been trained in accordance with them. This is the
only way to ensure that operators are familiar with the features of the truck,
can use it properly, avoid causing damage, and comply with the terms of the
guarantee.

Use:

The truck may only be used, maintained and repaired as specified by

the manufacturer.
Do not make any modifications or attachments without ensuring that
the truck is still safe.
Always check that the truck is safe before using it. Pay special

attention to the wheels, castors, load surface, frame, pushbars and
drawbars.
When parking, loading and unloading the truck, always ensure it is

secure and cannot shift. Always apply the brakes.
The truck can be unloaded by hand or using a crane.

When transporting heavy loads, the strength needed to control the

truck varies with the size of the load, the state of the rolling surface
and the condition of the truck.
Be sure to secure the load on the truck so that it cannot shift or fall

off. The maximum payload must not be concentrated in one place,
but must be distributed evenly over the entire load surface.
