5. Battery low
If the batteries are low, the following code will appear:

6. Replacing batteries
The battery compartment is on the underside of the scales. Press the tab down and fit
2 batteries (AAA). Make sure that you place the + of the battery next to the + of the bat-
tery compartment.
TIP Batteries last longer if you avoid using old and new batteries together. It is also bet-
ter to use just one type of battery: normal, alkaline or rechargeable.
7. Advice and maintenance
These bathroom scales are a precision instrument. It will keep working well if you treat
it with care.
1. Do not stand on the scales with wet feet. The glass on the scales is slippery when
wet.
2. Keep still whilst weighing yourself.
3. The scales may break if you: hit it, bang against it too hard or drop it.
4. Dry the scales with a damp cloth and do not allow water to get into it.
Do not use chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.
5. Store the scales in a cool place with dry air.
6. If the scales do not automatically activate, check the batteries. Replace if necessary.
