Conversion and Extension
Three different options for pilot supply are available
(see Fig. 16):
Pilots supplied internally through channel 1. The indicator
dot (4) will then be in position 1-X.
Pilots supplied internally through channel 5. The indicator
dot (4) will then be in position 5-X.
Pilots supplied externally through connection X in the end
plate. The indicator dot (4) will then be in position X.
8.4.1 Setting the internal pilot air

Proceed as follows to operate the valve system with internal
pilot air:
Place the seal on the end plate in the correct position (see
"Changing the pilot air supply" on page 95).
Close connection X on the underside of the end plate.
Connect the pilot air supply to the subbase located closest
on the end plate.
Make sure that connection R is open and preferably
provided with a silencer.
Make sure that the pressure in the selected supply channel
in the subbase is within the limits stated in section
"Technical Data" on page 100.

8.4.2 Setting the external pilot air

Proceed as follows to operate the valve system with external
pilot air:
Place the seal on the end plate so that the indicator dot (4)
is in position X (see "Changing the pilot air supply"
on page 95).
Connect the pilot air supply to connection X on the underside
of the end plate.
Make sure that the external pilot air pressure is within
the limits stated in section "Technical Data" on page 100.
