Commissioning
Check the filter for correct installation and leakage.
Then commission the filter in the following steps:
1. Release vent screw (3) on the filter head by
turning anti-clockwise through approx. 2 turns.
2. Open the shutoff valves upstream and
downstream from the filter.
3. As soon as water emerges at the vent screw,
tighten the screw by turning it in the clockwise
direction and check the filter for leakage.
The filter is then ready for operation
Operation
Replacement of the filter element:
(see Figures 5a-5c)
The filter element is to be cleaned or replaced when
the water pressure decreases noticeably as a
result of heavy soiling of the filter cloth (the amount
of dirt can easily be checked visually through the
transparent cylinder), and in any case every 6
months.
Water is classified as a foodstuff. Hygienic
conditions must therefore be maintained when
the filter element is replaced.
1. Close the shutoff valves upstream and
downstream from the filter.
2. Relieve the pressure by using a coin to turn the
vent screw on the filter head anti-clockwise through
approx 2 turns.
3. Unscrew the transparent cylinder by hand and
draw it off downwards.
4. Clean the seal in the filter head with a moist cloth
and check for correct fit. Replace if necessary.
5. Remove the filter element from the transparent
cylinder, take the internal part and rinse it with water
or clean it with a handbrush. If the filter element can
no longer cleaned in this way, replace it. Leave the
support (8) in the filter head.
6. Insert the cleaned or a new filter element in the
transparent cylinder.
7. Screw the transparent cylinder with the new filter
element back into the filter head and tighten it firmly
by hand against the seal.
8. Reopen the shut-off valves upstream and
downstream from the filter.
9. As soon as water emerges from the vent screw,
retighten this by turning clockwise with a coin, and
check the filter for leakage.
The filter is now ready for operation.
Note the time for the next filter element
replacement.
Only clean the plastic parts with a moist, soft cloth,
using no solvents, cleansers or detergents.
Maintenance
All technical equipment requires regular
maintenance. DIN 1988 requires this always to be
carried out by specialist staff who also replace the
parts subject to wear. Maintenance is to be carried
out once a year, and twice a year in the case of jointly
used systems. Have the system maintained by a
plumber or the manufacturer.
Warranty
Should a fault occur during the warranty period,
contact our after-sales service department quoting
the equipment type and the PNR (production number)
to be found on the type plate of the unit.
Repair work under warranty may only be carried
out by our servicing personnel. Work under
warranty performed by an outside specialist
company requires an express order from our after-
sales service department.
