With PoE (Power over Ethern-
et) it is possible to power feed
data terminals like IP
webcams or IP telephones
directly from the network –
additional to the data without
influencing them. The quick
and easy cabling, as well as
the common space saving
connection to power and data
network reduces the setup
costs considerably.
Midspan solutions have the
advantage of being able to use
the already existing switches.
The midspan patch panel joins
the data ports of the switches
with the power supply.
The Patch Panel PoE contains
all necessary methods for an
uncomplicated plug-and-play
of the connected data termi-
nals.

The patch panel PoE does not
require any operating elements
for the user or installer.
It is designed as DIN rail com-
ponent for the mounting in an
electrical distribution respec-
tively on the DIN rail of a distri-
bution box.
In order to avoid an inter-
ference of the network by
disturbances/alterations in the
range of the 230-V-installation
please always disconnect the
power supply of the active
network devices (e.g. PC, IP-
Switch) of those of other elec-
trical power consumer.
Use separate circuits, an iso-
lated overvoltage protection
(C-arrester) and label the cir-
cuit as well as the belonging
jacks clearly with "EDP".
