RECIPE
CHOCOLATE CHIP WAFFLES
INGREDIENTS:

1 cup ( 250 ml) flour
•
½ tsp (2.5 ml) baking powder
•
¼ tsp (1.25 ml) salt
•
¼ cup (60 ml) brown sugar
•
2 eggs
•
¼ cup (60 ml) oil
•
1 cup (250 ml) butter milk
•
1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
•
½ cup (125 ml) chocolate chips
PREPARATION:
1.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and set aside.

In another mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and brown sugar for about
2-3 minutes.

Add vanilla extract and incorporate oil gradually.
4.
Using a spatula, add the dry ingredients to the mixture. Alternate with butter milk.
5.
Add the chocolate chips and let the batter rest for about 8-10 minutes.
6.
Meanwhile, preheat the waffle maker.
7.
Pour ¾ cup waffle batter onto the bottom plate and close the cover.
8.
Repeat with the remaining batter.
