WARNING
Protection against misuse of the measuring instrument:
•
You must take particular care to ensure that the materials selected for wetted parts
are suitable for the media used in the process. Failure to observe this precaution
may result in a risk of severe personal injury and pollution of the environment.

The improper use of the device can lead to severe physical injury or damage to
property.
•
The connections to the process must be tight, firm, and secure according to recog-
nized technical standards.
CAUTION
If surface temperatures exceed >70 °C, a guard must be fitted to prevent touching.
This guard must be designed to ensure the maximum permissible ambient tempera-
ture at the transmitter is not exceeded.
The device may only be used within the pressure and temperature limit values shown
on the nameplate.
For all process connections, the appropriate standard nominal pressure level of the
process connection should be observed.
If you have occasion to open the cover, ensure that it is closed properly again after-
wards in order to ensure the conditions for mechanical protection type IP65 are still
met.
CAUTION
Mechanically defective process connections may cause injury or faults in the process.
To prevent this happening, suitable measures should be taken.
NOTICE
The temperature transmitter should not be exposed to external loads.
