1) SAFETY INFORMATION
• Read carefully the information of this Instructions Manual before
using the instrument.
• Never make measurements with the instrument in the following
conditions: the meter or the test leads are damaged; the test leads
or your hands are wet; after storage or packaging the instrument
in abnormal conditions; or with the instrument opened.
• This instrument is not recommended to use with industrial high
voltages, for example main power of 440V AC or 660V AC in an
industry. This unit is designed to be used with low power circuit
of 250V AC or DC (Overvoltage Category II - 300V). Because
the magnetic field can cause interference in the meter eventually
created by voltages, and also because the accident caused by
connection of a high power to the instrument terminals when it is
selected to measure current is very dangerous.
• Take extreme care when working with voltages above 60V DC or
30V AC RMS, mainly in high power circuits, because the magnetic
field can cause interference in the instrument, and also the ac-
cidents can be fatal.
• During the measurements, keep your hands in the insulated part
of the test leads and avoid being in the earth potential, or either,
keep your body insulated using for example shoes with rubber
sole.
• Never exceed the measuring limits of the instrument.
• Never make measurements in extreme hot or wet environments.
• The repairs, parts replacements and calibrations must be per-
formed only by qualified personal. Excepting the batteries and
fuses replacements.
• Take out the batteries when the instrument will not be used for
long time.
