3.1 Charging the interchangeable battery
Place one or two Interchangeable Batteries (see Ill. 1) into the 317L20
Charger. The respective LED for each Interchangeable Battery will
now light up.
The charging time for one empty Interchangeable Battery is approx.
8 to 10 hours.
The charging procedure is terminated by taking the Interchangeable
Battery out of the Charger. Occasional overcharging does not directly
damage the batteries. If frequently repeated, however, overcharging
influences the life cycle of the Interchangeable Battery.
3.2 Installing the interchangeable battery
Place the Interchangeable Battery into the Battery Mounting Set and
snap in place (Ill. 2). The electrical contact will be made when the me-
chanical lock is engaged.
INFORMATION
For faultless functioning the electric contacts of the Interchangeable
Battery and of the Charger must be clean and free of grease. The
contacts can be cleaned with cotton swabs.
3.3 Changing the interchangeable battery
The Interchangeable Battery is easy to remove for charging. Push the
engaging lever (blue) of the Battery Mounting Set forward. The Inter-
changeable Battery disconnects from the receptacle and is pushed high
enough by a spring bolt to be removed.
