Routine Maintenance
Routine maintenance includes a series of simple visual and functional inspections which should be noted down in a
booklet by the maintenance technician.
These operations must be carried out 15 days after the machine has been started for the first time and following this,
with two-monthly frequency.
Proceed with the following routine maintenance operations:
1.Check for vibrations and noise. There must be no increase in vibrations and no increase in noise.
2.Make sure that the fans are correctly fixed to the exterior unit.
3.Clean the condensation / evaporation bank. Remove any dirt that may have built up. This operation should be car-
ried out with due care to prevent the aluminium fins from being damaged. To avoid this, blow air or direct a jet of
water (not under pressure) up and down the bank. The bank must be straightened if the fins become deformed.
Wear protective gloves during these operations since the fins are sharp and can cause injuries.
4.Check the electric power cable: it must not have deteriorated or have lost its insulation characteristics especially in
curved parts or near the terminals.
5.Make sure that the cables (power and ground) are well tightened.
6.Check the cooling circuit: there must be no leaks.
7.Check the compressor power draw: it must not exceed the limit value indicated on the serial number plate and in
this manual.
Extraordinary Maintenance
Extraordinary maintenance only becomes necessary when the unit has been repaired after:
• Breakage of the coolant circuit with coolant recharge.
• The oil has been topped up.
In these cases, extraordinary maintenance must be carried out more frequently (weekly) and will include all the rou-
tine maintenance operations listed above plus a more accurate inspection to identify the cause of the fault and to
make sure that the repairs have been made in an efficient way.
These operations must be carried out by after-sales service centers or by authorized personnel.
SERVICING THE INTERIOR UNIT
The interior unit needs no particular maintenance, just filter cleaning which must be carried out fairly frequently.
