The receivers can be connected to an antenna cable by using external splitters, if necessary, to divide the
signal (see Fig. 8 as an example). It's possible install the headend also using some distributive amplifiers
SIG9808LT that allow an active loop-through between the inputs with 0dB loss. The SIG9808LT can be re-
mote supplied by the module and
it's connected to the module by
a jumper put on the receiver. The
Figure 14 shows the correct po-
sition of the jumper to enable the
remote power supply. If the remote
power-supply is not necessary put
the jumper in OFF position. For
this kind of installation refer to Fig.
9 as an example.
The jumper is put nearby the out-
put connector of the receiver. It
can be set up in three different
ways as shown here:
NOTE: the sum of all remote
power supply currents can't exceed 480mA (@ 12V). Every single output can convey 100mA at latest.
2.2 REPLACE/INSERTION OF SINGLE RECEIVERS
To install the single modules in the headend, you first should cut off the network power from the headend to
avoid contact with high voltage parts. Open the front panel of the headend by using the key and insert the
receivers as shown in Figure 6 and Figure 15.
To insert the module, make sure to have put it between the two metal guides that are in the upper and down
side of the rack. Then make sure that the F and the multi-polar connector are correctly matched with the
respective connectors in the back side of the rack. Finally push slightly the module to ensure the correct lock
of the unit.
To extract a single module use the metal handle. Then pull slightly the module using the metal handle in order
to extract the unit from the rack.
