The long-term effects of electrical stimulation are unknown.
Wait before using your BCS Ceramic Multiposition:
- When applying the belt, always remember to place the belt only on the abdomen and as indicated in this manual.
- Do not apply stimulation on the neck. Severe spasm of the muscles may occur and the contractions may be strong enough to
close the airway or cause difficulty in breathing.
- Stimulation over the neck could also have adverse effects on the heart rhythm or blood pressure.
- Do not apply stimulation across the chest because the introduction of electrical current into the chest may cause rhythm distur-
bances to the heart, which could be lethal.
- The effects of stimulation on the brain are unknown. Therefore, do not apply stimulation across the head and do not place elec-
trodes on the opposite side of the head.
- Apply stimulation only to normal, intact, clean skin. Do not apply stimulation over open wounds or over swollen, infected, or
inflamed areas or skin eruptions, e.g. phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, varicose veins, etc.
