Connection
- NTS 5xx: Connect the other end of the power cord to
one of the power outlets in the front of the NTS trolley
/ cabinet.
- WA / WAB: Plug the built-in power cord of the trolley
into the power supply cartridge in the back of the prin-
ter.
i CAUTION: The power supply cartridge that comes
with the printer is either rated for 230V or 110V .
Please have a look at the cartridge and check
whether you have the appropriate voltage on site.
Concerning the frequency, 50..60Hzis possible.
- NTS 5xx: Plug USB printer cable 1 987 009 AF4N into the
back of the printer and into one of the PC's USB ports
(see above).
- WA 9xx, WAB 01, WAB 02 CCT: Plug the built-in USB
printer cable of the trolley into the back of the printer .
- Now, press the IO button to turn the printer on.
- Open front cover. Ink cartridge mount will automati-
cally move in reach.

- Unpack both ink cartridges and take off the seal strip.
- Insert cartridges into their mountings (COLOR = right
position, BLACK =left position ).
- Close the cover.

Defi ne Standard Printer
On the PC unit 0 986 400 U50N / U51N, there are seve-
ral printer drivers installed and confi gured. Should they
no longer be accessible as they were after the factory
installation, use the Recovery CD or Service CD to reins-
tate them Now. select PDR U43N (‚HP J110A') to be your
Windows Standard Printer:
- Start / Settings / Printers / HP J110A / defi ne as stan-
dard printer

Working with the Printer
PDR U43N tells you via the PC screen whenever an un-
foreseen situation is coming up (e.g. out of paper, ink
cartridge empty etc.). Just follow the advice given on
the PC screen.

Maintenance
Besides recharging paper and exchanging empty ink
cartridges, there should be no maintenance required.
Although, to keep the surfaces of the printer dust free is
certainly a good idea.
