4. INSTALLATION
The belt clip fits onto the back of the mobile handset. Position the clip over the back of the handset and press it
in so that it engages with the notches on either side. (Fig 3a)
• Inserting the rechargeable batteries (Fig 3b)
Open the case cover and insert the rechargeable batteries.
WARNING: Observe correct polarity as marked on the batteries.
Only use original batteries. Using non-original batteries may void the warranty.
Before beginning the installation, please consider the following:
• The range can be severely reduced for technical reasons: concrete, metal, double glazing, etc. can all influence
the range of the MOBI.
Choosing a good location for the base station can improve reception appreciably.
• The handset has a range of 400 m in free field. If you are out of range, the
icon will disappear from the screen
(= out of range).
a. Setting up the charging station
(fig. 4)
Please read the safety instructions:
- Place the station on a flat, stable surface
- Connect the power supply to the mains
- Place the mobile handset in the charging station
When the mobile handset is correctly placed in the charging station, the battery symbol
will flash on the mobile
handset screen. The red LED on the charging station will also illuminate + 'beep' tone. The LED will remain lit (even
when the batteries are fully charged) to indicate that the station is correctly connected to the electrical supply.
IMPORTANT: The handset must be protected from the sun, other sources of heat (radiators, hotplates, etc.)
and moisture (bathroom, shower, etc.).
WARNING: In order to reduce the risk of interference as much as possible, do not place the handset near elec-
trical equipment such as televisions, screens, telephones, fans, etc. Do not expose the handset to direct sunlight or
leave it near any sources of heat. The charging system of this model can cause the mobile handset and batteries to
warm up. This is perfectly normal and will not damage the devices.
