b. Using the handset
When a visitor presses the intercom panel button, the mobile handset rings. Sometimes there may be a few se-
conds' delay before the handset rings (while the system resynchronises). Pressing the
key allows you to speak
to your visitor. At the end of the conversation, press the
key to end the conversation.
When the 120 seconds of talk time have elapsed, a series of «beeps» will be emitted by the handset to warn that
the communication is about to be ended.
• Timer
Pressing the
, key brings up the timer on the display. You can use this function to monitor the length of a
communication.
• Switching on / switching off the microphone.
You can switch the mobile handset microphone on and off during a conversation.
1. Press the
key. The microphone is switched off and the
asymbol is displayed.
2. To switch the microphone back on, press the
key again.
• Adjusting the earpiece volume.
The earpiece volume can be increased or decreased using the
keys at any time during the conversation.
The setting will be saved for future communications.
• Operating the door opener:
When you speak to your visitor, you can press the
key to actuate the electric lock and open the entrance
door (the activation time is 1 second). «Latch Open» is displayed on screen. To end the communication, press
• Operating the gate opening device*:
When you speak to your visitor, you can press the
key to operate your gate automation device and open
the gate (the activation time is 1 second). If your electronic control box is using battery power, «No Gate» will
be displayed on the screen.
*WARNING: This feature is only available if the electronic control box is powered by an external 12/24 V
or
12/24 V~ power supply, e.g. from your automatic gate device (fig. 10a) and therefore not using batteries. Please
ensure that you do not install any batteries in the battery compartment.
Important: If the electronic control box is connected to a 12/24 V
or 12/24 V~,low voltage supply, you can
communicate with the intercom panel at any time by pressing the
key. If the communication is cut off after 120
seconds, simply press the
key to reconnect.
6. ADDITIONAL SETTINGS
• Registering additional mobile handsets
A maximum of 6 CB MOBI handsets can be registered to the electronic control box. If you want to connect an
additional mobile handset to your Kit, registration is quick and easy:
1) The mobile handset must first be charged for 24 hours.
When the batteries are fully charged, press [Menu] to access the main menu. Navigate to the
symbol, then
press [Register] and select «Register New».
3) The
symbol will appear on screen. Press [OK] to confirm. The screen will display "Please wait..."
4) Now press and hold the intercom panel button until you hear a double "Beep".
5) After a few seconds, a tone will be heard on the handset and the number allocated to the mobile handset will
be displayed on the screen.
• Deleting a mobile handset
1) If the electronic control box is using battery power, make a call from the intercom panel to re-synchronise the
units.
2) Press [Menu] to access the main menu. Navigate to the
symbol, then press [OK] to open the settings menu.
3) Navigate to the "Register" menu and press [OK].
