7.1. Mounting Procedure:

Description of parts:
1. Cover
2. Central tube
3. Upper Body
4. Spring
5. Internal punch
6. Body
7. Squared handle
8. Lower body
9. O-ring
10. Curved tip
• Fit the Squared handle (7) into the lower body (8),
ensuring that the square of the handle reaches
the end of the body;
• Thread the curved tip (10) on the handle (7) until
the end of the thread;
• Insert the spring (4) into the internal punch (5);
• Insert the punch with the spring inside in the
central tube (2);
• Fit the upper body (3) and then the body (6) in
the central tube (2) according to the position
shown in the figure;
• Fit the central tube (2) into the lower body (8)
and thread it until the end of stroke. Do this
operation, making traction on the curved tip (10),
ensuring that it is at the end of the stroke, so
that there is no interference of the squared head
of the handle (7) at the end of the thread of the
lower body (8);
• Pull the inner punch (5) up to the end of the
spring and screw the cover (1) onto the punch (5)
until it reaches the end of the thread;
• Check that the parts are securely fastened and
that the mounting is compatible with the image
of the Arcsys Abutment Placement tool;
• Test the Arcsys Abutment Placement tool before
use, observing if there is no disengaged part, if
any unevenness or incompatibility is found,
tighten the pieces with threads again or perform
the assembly procedure again.
8. Conservation and Storage
The product should be stored in its original sealed
packaging in a clean, dry place at room temperature
and away from the sun action, in temperatures
between 5 ° C and 40 ° C. After opening the
package, to conduct the use of the product, it must
be put on the silicone pad within the Arcsys case.
9. Sterilization Method
This product should be properly sanitized after each
use. For sanitization, the product must be removed
as follows:
- Remove the Arcsys Abutment Placement tool,
unscrewing the body (Figure 01, item 1) releasing all
parts;
- Keep the O-ring positioned in Arcsys Abutment
Placement tool body thread.
Cleaning and Sterilization
Washing:
• Always use for this procedure, distilled, deionized
or demineralized water. If the water is heated to
facilitate this cleaning step, the temperature
should be between 40ºC and 45ºC;
• Use mild soap to 1% or neutral detergent, both
with pH 7.0;
• Always use brushes with natural or nylon soft
bristles for cleaning threads and regions part of
difficult access;
- 14 -
• Never use steel wool or sponges and / or
abrasives to avoid damaging the instruments in
use;
• Do not clean instruments in bulk, close to each
other, to prevent deformation of the smaller and
delicate parts and so not to scratch the polished
surfaces. Always handle a few pieces at a time.
Rinsing:
• Always use for rinsing, distilled, deionized or
demineralized water. If the water is heated, its
temperature should always be between 40 ° C
and 45 ° C;
• Never use saline solutions, especially sodium
hypochlorite (bleach) and saline, disinfectants,
hydrogen peroxide or alcohol to clean or rinse
the surgical instruments.
Drying:
• Never leave the instrument to dry "naturally";
• Always use a soft, absorbent cloth or compressed
air free of moisture.
Sterilization:
• Using the autoclave, with distilled, demineralized
or deionized water, so that the resulting vapour is
free of impurities. Still, the autoclave must have
appropriate filters for retaining impurities from
the feed system;
• The surgical instruments, if applicable, must
be laid open in the same trays and wrapped in
double raw cotton field, or placed in box "type
containers" perforated, suitable for this type of
sterilization.
• Do not prematurely open the autoclave in order
to avoid rapid condensation;
• Do not open the autoclave quickly, leaving all
the first and steam leaving the drying cycle is
complete.
• Steam sterilization by autoclaving, by selecting
a sterilization cycle followed by a drying cycle
