PETROL ENGINES
DT.4360P4, DT.4360P6 & DT.4360P8
Crankshaft/Flywheel TDC Locking Pins
Citroen/Peugeot engines have access holes through pulleys or engine casing into flywheel and fixed datum holes
on the engine to allow the crankshaft to be 'locked' in their timed positions by use of correctly sized locking pins -
- refer to Petrol Engine Application Charts.
DT.4360P1, DT.4360P2, DT.4360P3, DT.4360P4 and DT.4360P5 Locking Pins
Citroen/Peugeot 16v twin cam engines (TU & XU) use locking pins to retain the engine timing position
during belt renewal. These pins enter through access holes in each of the camshaft sprockets
into fixed datum holes behind.
Example: For XU9J4(D6C)/XU10J4(RFY) 2.0 16v - Use DT.4360P2(Pair)
For TU5J4/LE 1.6 16v - Use DT.4360P3 + P4 +

Holding Tools for Crank Pulley Removal
IMPORTANT: Many timing belt replacement applications require removal of the crankshaft pulley.
However Locking Pins must NOT be used to hold the crankshaft whist releasing or tightening the pulley bolts.
Locking Pins are for retention of timing position only.
Use appropriate Flywheel Holding Tool DT.3398, DT4358 – Refer to Application Charts.

PETROL ENGINES
Timing belt replacement on the new generation of 1.8 and 2.0 PSA twin camshaft 16v. engines
in Citroen and Peugeot models including the HPi version of this engine.
DT.4575P11 Crankshaft Locking Pin & DT.4575P10 Camshaft Locking Pins (Pair)
Remove the crankshaft pulley and 'lock' the crankshaft in its timed position at the flywheel or through
the crankshaft pulley flange.
DT.4575P10 Camshaft Locking Pins to retain the camshafts in their timed position.
DT.4575P12 Flywheel / Crankshaft Locking Pins
For removal of the crankshaft pulley, 'lock' the flywheel with DT.4575P12 to counter-hold whilst releasing
the centre bolt. Do NOT use DT.4575P11 Pin
DT.4575P14 Inlet Camshaft Locking Pin
On HPi engines, one of the pair of locking pins from DT.4575P10 is used to lock the exhaust camshaft
but special Pin DT.4575P14 is required to 'lock' for the VTC Inlet camshaft.
