7 . M A I N T E N A N C E
Carry out maintenance operations while the machine is switched off
from the mains and after the parts have cooled down.
7.1 General maintenance
The machine does not involve any special maintenance requirements, however it is a good rule to
observe the following warnings :
• ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: On a periodic basis, check the state of the electrical system with
special attention to the connection cables. If you should notice any anomalies, contact our
Technical Service Centre or a specialist.
• BOILER: The boiler is to be emptied at the end of each day in order to eliminate most of the
residues that form on the bottom of the actual boiler. To drain the boiler correctly, carefully
read chapter 6.2 "What to do at the end of the job".
• SUPPLY TANK: For models with tank, you are recommended to make sure nothing may
accumulate on the bottom of the tank on a weekly basis.
• WATER FILTER: A filter is fitted between the hose (17) and the union (18) that protects the
pump from foreign bodies entering it. Every 6 months, make sure the filter is clean, as
otherwise it could compromise the pump efficiency.
• AUTOMATIC LEVEL: Disassemble the sensor every 6 months. Make sure there is no scale
on it; if you should notice any scale, clean it without using flammable liquids and fit the sensor
back in place, securing the union on the boiler tightly (Cod. 4261).
• SAFETY VALVE: This needs to be checked periodically to guarantee its efficiency in the case
of emergency. Make sure scale does not form in the valve, which could obstruct the discharge
of the device (1).
• Use a damp cloth to clean. Never use flammable liquids.
• If the equipment is left unused for some time, empty the boiler by opening the cock (11) and
place the machine in a dry area, sheltered from atmospheric agents.
